The oldest one Mike said "you give me 1000 shilling! I said no I wont do that but I will give you more in the future. And we talked and talked. Suddenly an askari ( security guard) run towards the kids with a big weep and wanted to weep them! I shouted that I have called the children myself and he should leave them alone. The kids were frighten and run away till I called them back. Mike kept on caressing my arm and they others told him to stop. I said no it is ok. I send my friends to buy them milk and bread and they were so happy. I asked them "how do you survive in the streets"? they replied we believe in God. Well I said God send me to you to help you. Give me time and I will return soon. I will dress you, take you to the parks we shall have a barbecue and then I will do all I can to shelter you in the nearest future and send you back to school. I really felt the love in my heart for these children.

They are children and surely they are not innocent but they were kids like others till their destiny changed due to the economy in Kenya. They became survivors of the streets. But they inside their heart hidden behind their dirty and taught faces they are still children. I am a mother of three children, they are happy and they have the chances to go to a good school and they have a roof above them. I have enough love inside me for other children, those who seemed to be hopeless. Sure Iam aware that I will have a hard time, they can hurt me, they can be ungrateful an I know I cant save all of them but if I can save one of them I will be happy already, but i know I can do more then that. That is why Iam working so hard to give back something good to Kenya, to the children of God. That is why Savannah Travel exist for another reason to help the otherwise futureless children of Kenya. Dear Aman, James, Silus, Muli, Mike, Elvis, Victor en Mike Iam thinking of you daily and Iam longing to see you again. I will keep my promise and help you. Wait for " Mama Simba "to return.
