I have heard of many stories where pedestrians were robbed in daytime or night time no matter how many people are there. On the other hand they risk their own life's cause when they are caught by pedestrians and some starts the punishment, they wont survive. I have seen once when a street child was caught by the public and all sudden the crowd moved and took the right in own hand. I wished I could have done something to save that boy but they would have caused me harm too. I can understand the anger of the people that they are tired of this kind of crimes. But being a Christian I believe that only God and no one else has the right to give life and to take life. I agree that steeling is wrong, any crime is wrong, but what would I do if the hunger is making me forget about the rules here on earth?

When I was in Kenya last year I was reading in the newspaper that two street children opened all a sudden a car door and the lady inside screamed probably because she was scared to be robbed. Don't misunderstood me I would have screamed too.......but what happened then was that fair? The chauffeur who turned out to be an policeman shot the street children! Many people agree with the policeman in Kenya cause they are fed up with the robberies and crimes. But I hope that many others will agree with me that even if they intent to rob it is not a good reason to kill.

I know that not all the children are really street children, some of them are sent by their parents to beg. And to be honest it is not a pleasure to be followed by them demanding for money or anything and if you don't give they scare you of or even worst. Mostly I see the children sniffing the glue and they are stoned, when you asked them why they will tell you that so they wont feel they are hungry. [more]
